Blake Shelton’s New Album, ‘Body Language’ Is Out In May

On March 29 Blake made a tweet announcing his upcoming (the 12th) album,’Body Language’ which is scheduled to be released on May 21 via Warner Brothers Nashville and Ten Point Productions.

The 12-song album includes his previous No. 1 duet with Gwen Stefani “Happy Anywhere,” as well as his current single, “Minimum Wage.”

We’ve been working on this album on and off for two years now, and I’m very proud of what we have put together,” Shelton said via a press release. “We certainly had some unique challenges with the pandemic, but we also had a lot of fun. We explored new sounds while making sure to get in some classic country. I’m also thrilled to have my buddies The Swon Brothers featured on the title track as both co-writers and vocalists. Can’t wait for y’all to hear it!

The album’s title track was co-written by former The Voice contestants and Team Blake members The Swon Brothers, who are also featured on the song. The Swon Brothers finished third during The Voice’s fourth season, and went on to earn a Top 15 hit with the song “Later On.”

The Swon Brothers shared on social media that they somehow wrote the title track for that new album and the audience were gonna hear their voices with the man himself.

Also, Shelton is preparing to release a limited-edition, 7” vinyl on April 16, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of his debut No. 1 hit “Austin.” The vinyl will feature the B-side track “Problems At Home,” just as it did nearly two decades ago.

“Weaping Willow” by Betty Boo Banksta / Intimate Intensity

“Weaping Willow” by Betty Boo Banksta / Intimate Intensity

Betty Boo Banksta, is an artist who got into music to fall in love but ended up falling in love with the music. An amusing and interesting story preceded Betty’s arrival into the music industry.

Betty and her cousin fell in love with a popular male group and they, as teenagers do, would watch their videos over and over again. In an attempt to meet the objects of their affection and win their hearts, they dedicated themselves to a career in music.

In the end, they did meet the objects of their affection, but in the process, Betty truly fell in love with music and not the male group, although they did become and still are very close friends. Betty told us: “It became imprinted on my heart and soul. I fell in love with music”.

She has been releasing music since 2018 with no signs of slowing down. Her impressive selection of releases showcases her ever-evolving style and she incorporates multiple genres from hip-hop, jazz, pop, lounge, world music and even a bit of country.

“Weaping Willow”

“Weaping Willow” is a sentimental song that she released in 2018. It was inspired after a trip to Savannah where the beautiful weeping willows tell their story. Betty saw those trees as sacred, mysterious, relaxing, nurturing, mystical, sad, yet joyful all at once.

She realised this recognition was a reflection of herself and poured all those feelings into this song.

The song opens with a very relaxed feel as we hear a melodic tune strumming on the guitar and Betty speaking to her recording team.

The echoed microphone effect with a tinny, distance guitar sound, gives the song a 60s feel, slightly reminiscent of Janis Joplin.

There is a deliciously progressive journey to this song, as multiple layers of instruments gradually add one by one. This effect slowly evolves the soundscape to an intense high, before taking it back, piece by piece, to a simple strumming guitar.

Betty has a passionately soulful voice that carries wonderful expression and depth. The use of breathiness in her vocal delivery conveys a delicate intimacy and it feels like we are being given insight into a special secret.

This a powerfully emotive track that connects with the listener on a deep level. If you enjoy music from artists such as Erykah Badu and H.E.R, then Betty Boo Banksta will fit perfectly on your playlist.

What’s next…

Betty plans to continue making music that moves and connects with people. Music that makes people laugh and dance. Music to make love to. She has told us: ” I want to be a spaceship pimpin of bliss. Banksta Goddess”.

Betty has one important message for all her listeners out there: “Be kind, please be kind to one another. Keep some Betty Boo Banksta in your life. Add it to your repertoire and life will always be even better than good. Love y’all”.

Meet Rocketball 007:

Rockcetball 007 is the solo project of Richard Behan, who is the singer-songwriter, producer and manager. He has had a lifetime of experience in the music industry, which he initially got involved in, in the sixties. Now, he is in his sixties and trying to influence the world with his music.

In his younger days when he was first starting in the business, his parents were his biggest inspiration, as they smiled and asked him “when will you get a real job?”. Obviously, this only increased his conviction for a career in the music industry.

Nowadays, he gets inspired to make music when and how he feels like it, he has the freedom to create at his pleasure, in his home studio where he composes, writes and produces all of his original material.

“We Are in Some Trouble”

His latest release, “We Are in Some Trouble”, is a song about basically, getting in trouble. The lyrics tell us a tale of secret rendezvous’s, which, for whatever reason, shouldn’t be taking place. We’ll let your imaginations decide what they are doing, that they shouldn’t.

The track immediately draws us in as Rocketball instantly commences his charismatic performance. His breathy and gruff vocals combined with the unique musical accompaniment create a hypnotic and dreamy effect.

This is a unique song with multiple layered drums, synths and cymbals which creates an exciting soundscape. The pop-dance background beat gives the song an upbeat feel, and it could easily be placed on a chilled club playlist. “Covid 19” by Hot Milk / Hilarity & Sentimentality align

“Covid 19” by Hot Milk / Hilarity & Sentimentality align

Meet Hot Milk:

Hot Milk is a comedy, musical trio who have just released their first big single, Covid 19. A ridiculously hilarious parody on having Covid 19.

This comedic trio is formed of Stretch, Tony Throbbins and The Shetland. These three masters of comedy met back in 2019. At this time, Throbbins and Shetland had connected with Stretch to film and create comedy sketches.

They continued cultivating ideas together as a group months into the pandemic. At this point, they decided to focus more directly on combining their musical and comedic writing.

Stretch is the producer of the group who has been recording and producing music in his studio for the past 5 years. However, the guys develop their music together. Their group inspiration comes by freestyling to different beats until something clicks. Then they develop the sound and lyrics in more depth.

Now, their day to day lives are consumed with comedy scriptwriting, filming, recording music, or planning their next big music video.

Single release “Covid 19”

“Covid 19” is their most recent project, which has a highly humourous, farcical music video and was written on their first studio session after they were released from quarantine.

The song opens with a beautifully emotive fingerpicking guitar melody, which feels extremely sentimental. Do not be fooled, this introduction is completely misleading.

The group give us no indication that this is a comedy song until the vocals begin. Once we hear the lyrics, the initial reaction is “what the f**k?”. And then, of course, we laugh, we laugh because it is just so silly!

Hot Milk has taken a fantastically light-hearted and jovial approach to this subject. Some may see it as controversial, but then what isn’t controversial these days?
The chorus will easily catch on as an anthem with hilariously sarcastic lyrics such as: “I’ve got Covid-19, it was so unexpected. Now I’m a super spreader, but I can do much better”.

This catchy track with the perfect blend of hilarity and sentimentality will charm any listener and make you want to listen to it again and again.

Check out this hysterical song and music video right here:

If you enjoy music and comedy from artists such as The Lonely Island and “Weird Al” Yankovic, then Hot Milk will be just your cup of tea!

Keep a close eye on what this adventurous and outlandish group of misfits will get up to next. They are already in pre-production for their next music video and their first short film. We are excited to see what new hilarities will befall us next time.

Hot Milk has one message for all you fans out there: “Keep on milking!”

“My Name Is Coco Bean” by Coco Bean / Triumph over discrimination

“My Name Is Coco Bean” by Coco Bean / Triumph over discrimination

Meet Coco Bean:

Coco Bean is the alter ego of Phil Elam, renowned singer-songwriter, musician, producer and filmmaker, who first began his journey into music at the young age of six years old.

At this time Elam started studying the classical piano, which was the beginning of a life long love with music.

Growing up on the streets of Detroit was difficult for young Elam and he suffered relentless abuse. However, he was always able to find solace from his childhood troubles in his world of music and movies.

Elam has had a successful career within the music and movie industry for many years now. He has succeeded with countless releases, awards, movie features and charitable givings,

Now, Elam has re-emerged as his new alter-ego, Coco Bean. This creation has arisen from a culmination of Elam’s experiences and belief that every day is a gift. A gift that should be celebrated with joyous gratitude and excitement.

Coco Bean’s positivity, resilience and persistence is an inspiration to us all. His message is this: “Never let what others do to you, define who you are. Never let what people say about you become the image of yourself”.

“My Name Is Coco Bean”, is the first in a trilogy of releases from Coco Bean. It is a powerful song about not marginalising people based on colour, race, national origin or orientation.

Coco Bean collaborated with Anno Domini Nation for the production of this song and it was inspired and written in ten minutes after just one listen to the music.

“My Name Is Coco Bean”:

This is a funky, 90s hip-hop style track, with multiple layers of synth beats, which creates an upbeat vibe.

The song unfolds a story of discrimination and rejection which is delivered through poignant lyrics such as: “I’ve never fit in, too black for the whites, too white for the blacks”.

But, this is also a tale of triumph. Of overcoming negativity through resilience and perseverance. The uplifting energy of this song and Coco’s dramatised vocal delivery communicates a fun and carefree attitude.

Through his performance in this track, Coco perfectly conveys the message that everyday should be lived with excitement and gratitude.

Most importantly Coco wants us to know: “Being true to yourself and your dreams is the best gift one can give to oneself”

This is a noteworthy first release for Coco Bean and we are excited to see what his next single will entail. If you enjoy music from artists such as Eminem and Drake then Coco Bean will fit perfectly on your playlist.

“4DOORSHAWTY” Lil Demon / Distortion & confusion collide

Meet Lil Demon:

Lil Demon is a singer-songwriter and producer with a unique and intriguing sound that strongly connects with his listeners.

He first started listening to music in the 5th grade. At this time he was attracted to a diverse selection of genres from artists such as Fallout Boy, Skrillex, Green Day, Nirvana, and The Notorious B.I.G.

Music has played an important role in his life as he suffers from depression, anxiety, personality and bipolar disorder. Music has been a form of comfort to him and soothed him through some very dark times. He has told us, “Sometimes I feel like if the artists from my generation never created the music they did, I would not be here”.

This powerful connection he has to his music is clearly expressed through his performance and compositions.

He cultivates his songs with a purpose, whether it is a message he wants his listeners to hear, or a feeling he wants them to experience, The main goal is communication and connection, which he achieves with his personal, genuine and confronting approach.

New Release “4DOORSHAWTY”

This is an extremely unique song, although somewhat strange and slightly disturbing. It makes the listener feel unnerved and uncomfortable at times, which seems to be the point.

“4DOORSHAWTY” is about Lil Demon’s personality and bipolar disorder (BPD). BPD causes people to constantly idolize and then, devalue the people they love. Lil Demon does an exemplary job at communicating these contradicting feelings.

He has quoted, “I try to paint a picture for people to understand what it feels like to be so sensitive, moody and contradicting”.

Musical and vocal distortions invoke feelings of nervousness and agitation. This distortion also creates the sensation of bouncing back and forth in confusion and desperation. This effect accompanied by deep subwoofer bass sounds resonant deeply within the listener.

The whole effect creates a hypnotic and lasting impression. If you enjoy music from artists such as Lil Peep and 100 gecs, then Lil Demon will fit perfectly on your playlist.

Listen to “4DOORSHAWTY” right here…

What’s next for Lil Demon?

Lil Demon plans to continue making music and connecting with people, in the hope of changing the world for the better. He has an important message for all his listeners: “Everyone deserves love, even people consumed by hate. People only hate on things they can’t understand. Make them understand”.
