Blake Shelton’s New Album, ‘Body Language’ Is Out In May

On March 29 Blake made a tweet announcing his upcoming (the 12th) album,’Body Language’ which is scheduled to be released on May 21 via Warner Brothers Nashville and Ten Point Productions.

The 12-song album includes his previous No. 1 duet with Gwen Stefani “Happy Anywhere,” as well as his current single, “Minimum Wage.”

We’ve been working on this album on and off for two years now, and I’m very proud of what we have put together,” Shelton said via a press release. “We certainly had some unique challenges with the pandemic, but we also had a lot of fun. We explored new sounds while making sure to get in some classic country. I’m also thrilled to have my buddies The Swon Brothers featured on the title track as both co-writers and vocalists. Can’t wait for y’all to hear it!

The album’s title track was co-written by former The Voice contestants and Team Blake members The Swon Brothers, who are also featured on the song. The Swon Brothers finished third during The Voice’s fourth season, and went on to earn a Top 15 hit with the song “Later On.”

The Swon Brothers shared on social media that they somehow wrote the title track for that new album and the audience were gonna hear their voices with the man himself.

Though Shelton did not write any of the album’s 12 tracks, he enlisted plenty of top-shelf writers, including Alyssa Vanderheym, Jessi Alexander, Jaron Boyer, Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne, Michael Hardy, and more.

Also, Shelton is preparing to release a limited-edition, 7” vinyl on April 16, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of his debut No. 1 hit “Austin.” The vinyl will feature the B-side track “Problems At Home,” just as it did nearly two decades ago.

Garage Rock Singer-Songwriter, Dan Sartain Dies aged 39

The Alabama rocker, who opened for the White Stripes and had a prolific run of records, died on Saturday.

According to Pitchfork, Sartain’s manager, Shaun Christie confirmed that the Alabama garage-rock musician Dan Sartain passed away at the age of 39 on Saturday March 20th. However, the cause of his death has not been revealed.

Sartain was born and grew up in Fairfield, Alabama before eventually ending up in Birmingham and got involved in the music scene in the early 2000s.

Dan Sartain self-released his first two albums in the early 2000s including ‘Crimson Guard’ (2001) and ‘Romance in Stereo’ (2002),and then signed to the local label Skybucket for a limited edition tour album called Sartain Family Legacy 1981-1998. He incorporated elements of garage-rock, punk, blues, country, and old-school rock and roll throughout his 20-year run.

In 2007,Sartain opened for the White Stripes.“Touring with the White Stripes was my Rocky Balboa moment,” he told Music Mecca in an interview last year. “I was a virtually unknown barroom singer, and I went the distance with the champ.I don’t feel like I’m cut out for stadium touring, but there were a few times where we got some good licks in.” He released a single on ‘Third Man’ in 2009.

In 2020, he released the Western covers album ‘Western Hills’ and a collection of songs he recorded in Memphis’ iconic Sun Studio. He also made a collaboration with Ganxsta Nip last summer,and donated all the funds to the Black Lives Matter Global Network.

A GoFundMe to raise money for Sartain’s funeral costs has already surpassed its initial goal, but the organizers are still accepting donations.

7 boys of BTS officially confirmed performing at the most prestigious music event on the planet -2021’s Grammy Awards.

On March 7 local time, the Recording Academy announced its full lineup of performers for this year’s annual Grammy Awards, and BTS was one of the artists on the star-studded list. The group will be joining fellow performers including: Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, Cardi B, Post Malone, John Mayer, Doja Cat, Miranda Lambert, Chris Martin, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, Black Pumas, DaBaby, Brandi Carlile …

According to Adam Levine, Maroon 5 has finished recording the next music disc. New songs were composed during the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and are in post-production.

On March 4, Music News announced that Maroon 5’s new album -the follow-up to 2017’s Red Pill Blues -is on the way.

Speaking to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, frontman Adam Levine says, “I can tell you right now that the album’s done. And I can tell you it’s finished, I can tell you it’s been mastered, and I can tell you it’s been delivered, but I can’t tell you when it comes out. But it’s not far off, I’ll just say that.

The 42-year-old male singer admitted that 2020 was too strange a year to release an album. He struggled with himself to get the motivation to compose new songs. However, once he got on track, work went quickly and smoothly.

This will be Maroon’s new album after nearly four years. The group’s most recent album, ‘Red Pill Blues’ was released in 2017. To pave the way for the next album, Maroon 5 has recently released ‘Beautiful Mistake’ – a single with Megan Thee Stallion – on March 3.Adam says they wrote it during a summer in New York with singer/songwriter/producer Blackbear, and adds that he’s “absolutely obsessed” with the tune.

Adam Levine praised the vocal and rapping skills of ‘Savage’ hit owner when praising her for bringing a more impressive climax to the song. He says she “100% meets all the criteria” for a feature on one of their songs: “Just this really special person, super talented, having a moment.”  She’s one of many rappers the band has collaborated with in the past -a list that includes Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa and Kendrick Lamar.

It’s almost kind of this great symbiosis that occurs between whoever the feature[d artist] is and the band, where it’s at this great moment where we feel like we really have read the right timing,” Adam explains. “And it’s nice, because it opens up our eyes to new things, and theirs as well, so it’s really been great”.
