7 boys of BTS officially confirmed performing at the most prestigious music event on the planet -2021’s Grammy Awards.
On March 7 local time, the Recording Academy announced its full lineup of performers for this year’s annual Grammy Awards, and BTS was one of the artists on the star-studded list. The group will be joining fellow performers including: Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, Cardi B, Post Malone, John Mayer, Doja Cat, Miranda Lambert, Chris Martin, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, Black Pumas, DaBaby, Brandi Carlile …
Previously, at the 2020 Grammy Awards, BTS performed as part of a collaboration with Lil Nas X, making this year’s ceremony their first time taking the stage alone to perform one of their own songs at the Grammy Awards.
BTS is also nominated for their first Grammy Award this year, with their smash hit “Dynamite” earning a nod in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. (While their 2018 album “Love Yourself: Tear” previously scored a nomination in 2019, it was nominated in the Best Recording Package category, which is awarded to an album’s art director and not the artist.)
Shortly after the announcement was made, ARMYs (BTS’s fan club) took to Twitter to express their excitement to see the group perform at the 2021 GRAMMY Awards. Several hashtags including “#BTSGrammyPerformers” and “#BTS Kings” are currently trending as of writing, with thousands of fans using the keywords on the platform.
The 63rd Grammy Awards will air live on March 14 at 8p.m ET.
