Under Your Skin by Antonio Moreno / Dreamy euphoria & EDM bliss

Meet Antonio Moreno:

German-based producer and DJ, Antonio Moreno has wowed us once again with another heart-pumping, captivating EDM release, “Under Your Skin”. This release is with his label, Puta Madre Music.

Moreno has been surrounded by music his entire life and he learned to play the guitar from a very young age. His family immersed him in Flamenco music during his younger years and he considers his roots firmly sown into this genre. He has told us: “my origin was, is, and will always be Flamenco”.

However, he began to explore new avenues of music once he was hit with the electronic dance virus! Flamenco is still a huge source of inspiration for him, along with the 90s’ trance and techno sounds, particularly from Frankfurt and Berlin. This unique blend of influences has definitely given birth to an exclusive style, all his own.

Under Your Skin:

His latest release “Under Your Skin” was produced in 2020. The inspiration for this song arose while he was visiting his Mother at her Finca in Spain. The wide-open ocean view, along with a feeling of melancholy, catalyzed the creation of this enthralling track.

Moreno collaborated with Chloe Kay for this song and she delivers a remarkable and beautiful vocal performance. She perfectly conveys a dreamy sensation with her angelic voice which hypnotises us completely, as she sings: “It was a beautiful dream, a beautiful dream, there was no pain and there was no fear”.

The contrast of Kay’s ethereal vocals blended with Moreno’s intense trance beats transmit a spectacularly euphoric soundscape that drives the momentum onward and upward, raising the listener into ecstatic EDM bliss.

This emotive and engaging track will charm any listener, especially lovers of electronic music. You can listen to “Under Your Skin” and watch the music video right here…

In the meantime Moreno has a message for all his fans: “I do this shit only for you! If I can put a smile on your face, help you feel better or you dance to my tracks, I  would say: mission completed and then I am happy. And of course, I want to bring collateral damage to the dancefloor.”

10 Things You May Not Know About The Daft Funk Legend

10 Things You May Not Know About The Daft Funk Legend

Daft Punk’s announcement on their split up has surprised and touched the community of Dance music lovers around the world. The French duo has officially ended the 28-year journey of dedicating talents and inspiring many artists around the world.

Daft Punk is an electronic music duo from France consisting of Thomas Bangelter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Daft Punk has made a huge impact on the French House music after the 1990s. The style of the duo has influenced, as well as created inspiration for many artists, especially musicians in the dance world.

On February 22, Daft Punk suddenly posted a video on YouTube after a long time  of silence. Fans thought this would be an unexpected comeback for a new music product, but expected a short movie instead of the disbandment announcement after 28 years of operation (1993-2021).

The video starts with the two slowly walking across a vast desert, still dressed in robotic clothes with legendary helmets. While Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo was still walking, Thomas Bangelter suddenly slowed down and stopped. The distance of the two gradually increased. Time began to count down, Thomas exploded and Homem-Christo walked on alone in the desert.

Daft Punk’s farewell has surprised and touched the fans, especially early EDM fans. Feeling like a heaven of youth and a monument is disappearing in front of their eyes. Many people have left regretful comments and hope the duo will continue as companions.

In order for Daft Punk to live forever in the hearts of fans, today we are going to summarize 10 things not everyone knows about this legendary duo!

1. Thomas Bangalter’s father is a famous Disco producer

Mr. Daniel Vangarde – father of Thomas Bangalter (member of Daft Punk)

Thomas Bangalter’s father – Mr. Daniel Vangarde is a famous Disco producer. He has worked with the major disco labels mainly in Europe. That makes a huge impact on Thoma, and you can feel the disco colors that are so rich in his music. During the early years of his career, Mr. Daniel Vangarde coached the duo and helped them sign major record label Virgin Records when they were young.

2. The group was initially called ‘Darlin, named after their idol’s song – the band Beach Boys.

The Beach Boys’ band at that time was the idol of Daft Punk

In the 90s, before founding Daft Punk, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo led a band called ‘Darlin’ which was named after a song by the Beach Boys (1967). They are fans of the Beach Boys band.

3. The name ‘Daft Punk’ is taken from a bad review by a journalist

In a review of the band Darlin, the Melody Maker- a weekly British music magazine page (now decommissioned), rejected all of the group’s initial attempts and called ‘Darlin’ as “daft punky thrash”. Shortly thereafter, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo disbanded the old group and formed a new group namely ‘Daft Punk’.

4. Daft Punk doesn’t wear a helmet at first

Daft Punk didn’t wear a helmet and robotic outfit before, until their second album Discovery was released in 2001

Perhaps many people would think that Daft Punk was like that since its inception, but in fact, they did not wear helmets and robotic costumes before. It was not until their second album Discovery was released in 2001 that the duo began wearing robotic suits and helmets. They purposely brought in two characters from the future and that made the Daft Punk franchise so popular around the world.

5. Daft Punk’s robotic outfit was once ridiculed by the comedy duo Flight of the Conchords

In an episode of comedy performed by the New Zealand comedy duo – Flight of the Conchords, they made a comedy video with shoddy robots and they started complaining: “It doesn’t look like Daft Punk”.

6. Coca-Cola has created its own soft drink line for Daft Punk

Coca-Cola has created its own soft drink for Daft Punk

In 2011, Coca-Cola produced and distributed a limited edition for France (home of Daft Punk), designed by the duo themselves based on their robotic outfits. These Coca-Cola bottles were called Daft Coke and were quickly out of stock soon after.

7. Daft Punk’s salary is $ 1 million per night (in 2007)

In 2007, the pay-for-money for a Daft Punk grand show went viral. This has made many people admire the staggering amount of money – $ 1 million. In two years (2007-2008), the duo performed at 47 events, equivalent to their pocket money of 47 million dollars. According to a report in 2017, the value of each member is 70 million USD.

8. Daft Punk once refused will.i.am about releasing a remix containing a sample of the song ‘Around the world

Like many other artists, will.i.am – a member of the famous group ‘The Black Eyed Peas’, also has a thirst for EDM. He produced a remix of his song ‘I Got It From My Mama’ and contained samples from Daft Punk’s track ‘Around the world’. However, since Daft Punk flatly turned it down, that will.i.am’s remix was not able released.

9. Daft Punk has spent $4 million of their own money to create their animated film

Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem was an ambitious undertaking for both Daft Punk and Japanese designer Matsumoto, cost a reported $4 million to make, and some three years to produce. The trio were forced to communicate through a bilingual friend, which made the process even longer.

Each of Interstella 5555’s characters portrays the different styles of animation Matsumoto had taken up throughout his long and storied career.

All of Daft Punk’s most recent outfits are designed by Hedi Slimane – a designer and creative director of the famous fashion label Saint Laurent.
