One More Day (Theme from “the Seven Chambers”) – Ben E. Davis / Explosive Expression of Love & Loss

Meet Ben E. Davis:

London-based, LA-born singer-songwriter Ben E.Davis has just released his newest single, “One More Day”.

Ben first started singing when he was just a young boy. He was inspired by a TV series called Kids Incorporated, about a group of youngsters who were in a band.

Years later, he fulfilled his childhood dream and joined a band called the LA Allstars. They toured the world together performing cover songs for weddings and corporate parties.

Ben has an eclectic style that was greatly influenced by two of the biggest music stars in history, Michael Jackson and Tina Turner. His style of music is definitely within the pop genre but he tells us: “I call my music schizophrenic soulful pop, it mixes genres and reflects my mood at the time I’m writing”.

One More Day:

“One More Day” is a touching and intensely emotive song that was inspired by Ben’s grandma, Dorothy, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

The song opens and we are instantly captivated by a slow, dramatic and expansive soundscape, which is reminiscent of a Celine Dion movie soundtrack. It’s no surprise that this epic track was selected as the theme song for the video game, “The Seven Chambers”. A Nintendo switch video game about a young girl called Elasaid, who falls into a coma and experiences a past life as a Highland Warrior.

Ben sings with intense emotion and his breathy, raspy delivery expresses deep heartache and loss. He has an extraordinary vocal ability that carries immense character and charisma. Listeners are equally charmed and hypnotised by his passionate performance.

This is a slow-tempo track that gradually builds to an explosive chorus. It has all the makings of an unforgettable anthem and listeners won’t be able to resist joining in with the powerful chorus, as Ben sings: “what about me, what about you, what about all that we’ve been through. What do I say to turn the clock back, one more day”.

It’s no surprise that this epic track was selected as the theme song for the video game, “The Seven Chambers”. A Nintendo switch video game about a young girl called Elasaid, who falls into a coma and experiences a past life as a Highland Warrior. Her only escape is to navigate her way to the Seventh Chamber and fight the fallen angel. Take a look at the video game here:

Listeners will easily connect with this touching song and if you enjoy music from artists such as Olivia Rodrigo and The Weekend, then Ben E. Davis will fit perfectly on your pop playlist.

ANIME: Another Night In My Emotions – Semaj Foreman / An Album of Sonic Bliss

Meet Semaj Foreman:

Multi-talented singer, songwriter, rapper, producer, and sound engineer, Semaj Foreman has released his newest album, ANIME: Another Night In My Emotions.

He is based in Fort Worth, Texas where he lives with his wife two daughters, and son. His family is a huge source of encouragement for him. His artistic 12 yr old daughter even gave a helping hand with the design of this album’s artwork.

Seems like there is no end to this artist’s talents. Who, also owns and designs his own clothing brand, Nobody Special.

Foreman knew that he wanted to make music from an early age and by 14 he was teaching himself how to make beats. He made his first sale on SoundClick, before our modern age of multiple soundclouds, at the age of 16 for $600.

By the age of 18, he had made a name for himself and people knew his music. He appeared on the surreal VH1 series with Vanilla Ice, “The Remaking of Rob Van Winkle”. Later he went on to produce 3 tracks on Ice’s platinum underground album.

His newest album is a collection of lo-fi, chilled tracks for lovers of Anime. He created the acronym “Another Night in My Emotions” to reflect on the emotional journey of each song.

ANIME: Another Night In My Emotions:

Let me start off by saying, this is a beautifully crafted album. The songs invoke a wide spectrum of emotions that seamlessly flow from one to the other.

Foreman keeps us enthralled and tantalized at the same time while taking us on a musical journey of emotions.

A dreamy and ethereal soundscape is created from the first track and listeners are absorbed into a world of blissful electro-beats.

The opening song is quite frankly brilliant, witty, and clever. Foreman creates the effect of switching through radio stations offering us many different sounds, energies, and moods. Which concludes with an exasperated and agitated voice stating, “Another Night In My Emotions”.

The first few tracks are extremely chilled with a dreamy, anime soundscape. The music wraps around the listener like a warm hug, seducing you to close your eyes and give in to the soundwaves washing over you.

The vibe switches as “Make The Devilman Cry” kicks in and our senses are alerted with a restrained yelling voice proclaiming “why God?”. This jolts us out of our slumber and jumpstarts our alertness to this powerful track.

At this point, the album switches gears from anime serenity to explicit aggression. Clearly expressing the rollercoaster ride of emotions that people can experience.

The energy gradually softens as the album progresses further onto the final song, “To Stay Here Is Death, To Go Is Death”. This track invokes strong feelings of melancholy and yearning.

Foreman has done a remarkable job with this album and whether you are a lover of lo-fi or anime, you will certainly love listening to ANIME: Another Night in My Emotions. If you enjoy music from artists such as PARTYNEXTDOOR and Tory Lanez, then Semaj Foreman will fit perfectly on your lo-fi playlist.

Take Me Back:

“Take Me Back” is the second single released by Random Parts featuring vocalist Bobby John. This is an emotive, upbeat, rock-pop song with dashes of country-rock, epic guitar riffs, inspiring drumming and an anthemic chorus.

John’s raspy, rock star vocals are enough to make any woman swoon and we just can’t resist joining in when he sings: “take me back, when life was more simple, with a couple of pimples, and dreams didn’t get off track. Oh take me back”.

This is a nostalgic song, reminiscing on our youth, friends, first loves, freedom and the excitement of having the whole world in front of you.

What great memories to return to! The song fills us with joyful and hopeful energy, returning to the days when we felt anything was possible. If you enjoy music from artists such as Nickleback and Daughtry then Random Parts will fit perfectly on your pop-rock playlist.

Phenomenal by GOLDEN DAWN ARKESTRA / Intergalactic Inspiration Ignites

Meet Golden Dawn Arkestra:

Hailing from the northern constellation Cygnus comes Golden Dawn Arkestra. A band of intergalactic beings spreading the universal message of love, light and tolerance to all earthlings.

Bandleader, Topaz McGarrigle initiated the gathering of these exceptionally creative individuals in 2013 in Texas. Together, this collective aim to spread joyful vibrations of healing love to Mother Earth and her children.

Developing further from the cosmic theatrical performances of Sun Ra Arkestra, the band adorn themselves in shimmering interstellar garments and journey into galactic explorations through movement and sound.

They may take their cosmic trend from the great father, Sun Ra, but musically they are constellations apart. Golden Dawn Arkestra blends genres of funk, psychedelic pop, afro-beat and of course, cosmic jazz, to produce a sound that lifts us to place outside of space and time.

Their music is unique, experimental, revolutionary and nothing short of sublime. Their cultivations have given birth to a new and fresh form of creativity.

The latest release “Phenomenal” was just released today and is an ode to the separation caused by the recent lockdowns, where most of our connections were on the virtual screen. But it’s also a celebration of the pure joy of being alive.

This song is quite frankly… PHENOMENAL!

Futuristic synths injected with electro-funk and 70s’ disco vibes create an invigorating soundscape with uplifting and joyful melodies. Multiple layers of synthesizers, keyboard and breathy seductive vocals create an enthralling atmosphere that completely captivates the listener.

The band has a special talent for luring listeners into their alternative universe. One where we leave our troubles and worries behind and bask in the exhilaration of a beautiful life.

This is a catastrophically contagious track, with Doors style keyboard riffs and high-energy joyous interludes. One just can’t fight the urge to jump and skip around like a joyful school child.

Although the song gives an overall feeling of rejoicing, it also speaks of the need for human connection. The pain of being separated from loved ones when it is only possible to touch them digitally.

This message is conveyed perfectly through expressive lyrics and an anthemic chorus which listeners won’t be able to resist singing along with: “You are wonderful, so wonderful, you are beautiful, phenomenal. But your digital, virtual, lock me in, do me out”.

“Phenomenal” is the first single from their upcoming album, soon to be released. If you enjoy music from artists such as LCD Soundsystem, Chicano Batman and Sebastien Tellier then Golden Dawn Arkestra will fit perfectly on your playlist. Listen to this song right here…
